University of Mississippi Medical Center Reviews
What is it like working at University of Mississippi Medical Center?
We are always here. We never shut down.
Registered Dietitian in Jackson:
Pros: I like the consistencies of dialysis.
Cons: Salaries are always low for Dietitians. Our profession is often overlooked or put off until last.
Trauma Registrar in Jackson:
I really enjoy working at UMMC. My department is fairly relaxed without a lot of stress. The culture of UMMC can’t be beat. Benefits are lacking. I have heard from many, many people to not ever expect a raise. My manager is awesome and is very caring and compassionate towards her employees.
It is extremely stressful. It is the role that is least appreciated and most overworked and understaffed.
Patient Services Coordinator in Grenada:
Pros: I love helping our patients. This hospital has a horrible reputation within our community. When I started here, I wanted to change that. I now see that is impossible.
Cons: Management.
Great benefits and retirement.
Registered Nurse (RN):
Pros: Flexibility.
Cons: No pay raise in 8 years.
