Long hours, stressful, understaffed environment.

It's OK, not desirable.

Poor management.
Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care in Louisville:
Pros: I work with very complex illnesses that are a challenge and a great learning experience.
Cons: The upper management has no clue how to keep good staff or they don’t care to keep them. I am not sure which is a worse scenario. Another ding is how little the management backs up staff when patients and family are either violent or just getting in the way of patient care.
I love the interaction with patients and take pride in my work.
