University of Houston (UH) Reviews

What is it like working at University of Houston (UH)?

Working at UH houston is very political. You have to know the right people in order to grow and excel.
Buyer in Houston:
Pros: Not much, processing the requistions.
Cons: My commute o work.
Average.
Financial Analyst in Houston:
Pros: The department I work in and the relaxed atmosphere my specific department promotes.
Cons: Compensation is not determined fairly based on my own research. Pay scales are not updated regularly to keep up with outside inflation and competitiveness among other similar employers within higher education.
Associate Director, Non-Profit Organization in Houston:
Quality of employee experience depends on what department you belong to. My experience has been exceedingly unpleasant, primarily because of the lack of support from leadership. UofH often struggles with technology implementation, bad culture, and punitive goal-setting. It is old school when it should be new, and new school when it should more traditional.
Enjoyable.
Administrative Assistant in Houston:
Pros: Working with my current manager and the benefits of the University.
Cons: The pay and merit increase structure.
