UnityPoint Health Reviews

What is it like working at UnityPoint Health?

Good place to work.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Des Moines:
Pros: Comfortable work environment. Trusted to do my job without direct supervision/micromanaging.
Cons: Co-workers not taking initiative and responsibility. No reimbursement for recertification. Not much communication or transparency by upper management.
Some good, some not so good.
Radiologic Technologist in Peoria:
Pros: Patient care,
Cons: Very large work load and having to perform other coworkers tasks and help in other clinic areas, but when I am overwhelmed i do not receive assistance. And I am still expected to complete all tasks for the day without assistance.
Security Officer in Madison:
You will regularly be forced to work overtime on certain shifts, and will not have any freedom regarding scheduling. The manager does not help with anything and routinely backtracks on promises. Management will say they will take a look at changing policies, or implementing something new, but once you begin following the new policy you get brought in for a, "Thank you for enforcing this, but..." conversation. The one redeeming factor is that this is one of the highest paid security positions within Madison.
It’s everything working for a corporate giant should be.
Cardiac Monitor Technician in Peoria:
Pros: The mediocre paycheck that barely keeps me financially afloat
Cons: The under appreciation and mediocre paycheck
Making a difference.
Administrative Assistant in Des Moines:
Pros: Flexibility
Cons: More responsibility than others doing my job.
Revenue Cycle Specialist:
I’m entry level. Pay is ok. Insurance could be better. My immediate manager is non existent and incompetent. How she still has a job I don’t know. Makes you wonder why.. Coworkers are great. Job itself is challenging. Education is rewarded with better pay and possibly promotion.
