United Fire Group Reviews
What is it like working at United Fire Group?
What is new business?
Senior Underwriter in Columbia:
Pros: Autonomy w/ remote work. Friendly people.
Cons: The current state of the business appetite, and feeling of non-stop change. Clearly the ball was dropped a long time ago as far as making necessary changes from as Underwriting perspective. Now you’re trying to correct course of the ship far too fast. Feels like we’ve been left behind by companies that were more assertive in their company risk management and we’re trying to catchup. In doing so we’re angering a lot of our agency force, and without a well defined appetite for new business.
Challenging but Rewarding at Times.
Attorney / Lawyer (Corporate, in-house) in Cedar Rapids:
Pros: Autonomy and the challenge
Cons: No opportunities for advancement
