Union Savings Bank Reviews

What is it like working at Union Savings Bank?

Small Bank Feel in a Big Bank World.
Branch Manager, Banking in Dayton:
Pros: I like that we have a lot of freedom in our day to day operations and my market is particularly friendly and collaborative.
Cons: Questions that can always be answered: who, what, when, where. Questions that cannot be answered: why, how. If you ask anyone who to contact for a rate match, when a specific department has a deadline, what screen to use to search for specific information, or where we have branch locations 99% of employees can answer. If you ask WHY something is the way it is (policy or process) or HOW something came to be, those same employees don’t have any explanation.
It’s okay, my team is great, I just feel under appreciated.
Branch Manager, Banking in Cresco:
Pros: I like banking
Cons: Lack of respect for this position and the extra respect given to loan department
Never Fails to be Amusing.
Bank Teller in Torrington:
Pros: Interacting with co-workers and customers, everyone learns everyone's name and story, always amusing.
Cons: Attitudes. All over the place. As the new person you always feel on the defensive.
