Tops Markets, Inc Reviews

What is it like working at Tops Markets, Inc?

Won't offer full time position. Store's too cheap to want to provide benefits that go with full time postion. There's no opportunity for development, and promotions are nonexistent.
Produce Clerk (Grocery) in Syracuse:
Pros: I don't have to interact with customers, whom are the bane of my existence for the six hours I spend there.
Cons: The job is fairly simple, but there's nothing that will inspire one to go the extra mile (no promotions, no opportunities for growth. If you were to exceed their expectations and go above and beyond, you would most likely be given more projects to do but with no reward. You'll only be stuck doing more work for the same pay without any chance for anything greater than current postion.
Forklift Operator in Buffalo:
Pros: Management let's you cruise through work on your own. No micromanagement, incentive based pay works well using the reach truck.
Cons: Revolving door of new hires, trainees last a week because the work is difficult at times and possible mandating of shift pushes people out the door. Incentive for selection changed recently and no longer "Incentive" to work there. Especially when you can make the same as a new hire at tim Hortons doing 5 percent of the labor.
Not paid enough don't feel valued.
Deli Clerk in Baldwinsville:
Pros: Custmers
Cons: Everyone wants to be in charge/ tell u how to do your job.
I clean the saws and meat room on weekday nights then work as associate on weekends but have to clean saws and meat room before I leave at end of the day.
Meat Clerk in Buffalo:
Cons: I'm training new cleaners and not being compensated, doing more work and still minimum wage?
Working at Tops Markets.
Scanning Coordinator in Jamestown:
Pros: The people I work with.
Cons: The lack of communication between corporate offices and lack of in store help.
Not bad but a little undetermined or undefined.
Grocery Clerk in Buffalo:
Pros: People are understanding and it's easy work
Cons: Management is not always on the same page
Tedious and fulfilling at the same time.
Stock Clerk, Grocery Store in Buffalo:
Pros: Dont have someone watching you all the time
Cons: Communication isn't always there
