Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.?

Clueless management seeking bottom tier talent.
Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer in South San Francisco:
Pros: Location
Cons: Most of my coworkers are foreigners who are terrible at their job. The company would rather outsource to overseas companies and pay bottom dollar for years instead of hiring a single qualified person to fix real problems even on a short term basis. No room for growth, no sharing of equity, no reason to try for anything beyond the minimum since bonuses are small if not squelched.
Overworked and Underpaid.
Training Supervisor in St. Louis:
Pros: Challenging work, and making the world a better place
Cons: Lack of communication, turnover and low pay for what I do.
Demanding.
Crew Leader in Bethlehem:
Pros: Making a difference
Cons: Accusations when thing go wrong and caused by others including management
Right field, wrong place.
Transportation Analyst in Pittsburgh:
Pros: I enjoy the type of work I do. Analytics are my strong suit
Cons: I don’t work with a great team. I don’t feel appreciated or valued as an employee.
Management does not have traction with what's going on on the floor.
Senior Process Engineer in Canoga Park:
Pros: Technically Challenge
Cons: Poor management
Total opposite of what I’m used ti.
Warehouse Material Handler in Frederick:
Pros: The atmosphere feeling like I am heard when something is off
Cons: Experience/productivity incentives not just be here for a certain amount of time
Good place to work.
Mechanical Engineer in Logan:
Pros: Thermo takes care of its employees, any time the company does good they spread it throughout the company. A few years back when the government gave all big companies a big tax break and they got lots of money back, Thermo gave all the employees a bonus with the money. Since COVID Thermo has done extremely well so we randomly get bonuses just because the company is doing great.
Cons: Such a big company that sometimes it feels a little silo’d, things like pay determination and stuff is not transparent.
