What is it like working at The Gap Inc.?
Intelligent collaboration with good work-life balance.
Finance Manager in San Francisco:
Pros: Development opportunities at a Fortune 500 company
Cons: Uncertainty about the retail industry in the future
Senior Software Engineer in Hyderabad:
On the name of DevOps, Hyderabad team is engaged with frivolous work and operations.
Local management is mainly focussed on the Great Indian Caste Favouritism and not improving the quality of work.
During hiring, they promised 200% variable pay but at the end of the year giving less than 20%, worst part is variable pay is part of offered CTC.
Hikes are around 5%.
Low Wages For Managers.
Retail Store Assistant Manager:
Pros: I work with a great team and my general manager makes sure we have a work/life balance. I currently have 5 weeks of paid vacation each year and will top out at 6 weeks this September.
Cons: The low wages for managers. After almost ten years of service with the company, seven of those years I have been in some form of manager, I do not even bring home 20K a year. It is hard to give a job your all when you feel as under appreciated as I do.
