What is it like working at Tetra Tech, Inc.?
Fantastic culture.
Business Analyst, IT in Yukon:
Pros: The culture is positive and non-threatening. We all have a common goal and work as a team.
Cons: 16 hours days are sometimes needed.
Flexible, interesting, learning opportunity, room to grow.
Program Analyst in Orlando:
Pros: My boss is excellent. The work I do directly helps communities across the nation.
Cons: Work is sometimes slow but we find internal projects to work on for business development purposes.
I love my under paid job!
Office Administrator in Norfolk:
Pros: I like the flexible work schedule.
Cons: The long commute.
Environmental Scientist 1.
Environmental Scientist:
Pros: The people are really nice.
The time off is okay - first 1st to 5th year is 23 days (7 holidays already included). Not sure if you can choose to work on days the offices are closed.
When people get situated, they can work from home or a different office since there are quite a few in a few hour radius where I am.
You do get a laptop where this is a VPN, so work from home is possible. But I don't see that happening anytime soon because I am around to "help" everyone else.
Cons: They do not have any work for me to do most of the time, so I sit at my desk for 8 hours a day.
I'm not sure how okay it is to take overtime. It seems like a bad thing to do. A lot of people end up filling their timesheets with only 40 hours regardless of how many they did work.
The HR person who found me and hired me mentioned how people would be snagged from the company because they would pay them more with better benefits. She made it sound extremely deplorable that you would want better for yourself. (She said this on day two)
The training is not planned out at all beforehand and neither is most of login material to set up access to other portals.
50 and counting.
Civil Engineer:
Pros: Solving problems, making successful projects.
Cons: Time sheets, long projects and rushing things out.
