TNT Dental Reviews
What is it like working at TNT Dental?
Nothing special.
Web Developer in Richardson:
Pros: I love the culture and the environment. It’s very relaxed and the company promotes office camaraderie. It’s a very “hip” place to be and everyone is, for the most part, very nice.
Cons: My salary; I make WELL below the average salary for my role in the area I work in. It’s my first role as a developer but it becomes quickly apparent that we are not regarded very highly by anyone with any authority. One of the owners of the company, namely the one who seems to make most of the decisions, doesn’t seem to take our input very seriously at all, especially if it runs counter to his own opinion on the matter. We work in a CMS that is several years old and is not maintained like a CMS should be. Despite voicing our concerns about potentially fatal errors, there does not seem to be any urgency among management to get a new system implemented or to get the current one fixed/updated. The entirety of the development department is made to feel like we are the red-headed step child, for lack of a better term, and other people at the company agree but aren’t in a position to change it. Preference is given to the sales(growth) team when it comes to just about anything, and the suspected reason is because they bring in more money than the developers do, despite the entire company’s business essentially only working because developers are here to make the websites and fix the bugs the occur. So in short, I am not made to feel like my work matters very much, and I am certainly not paid a salary that would lead me to believe I am a very important asset to the company, despite knowing that to be false based on the sheer nature of the work I do.
