State of Tennessee (TN) Reviews

What is it like working at State of Tennessee (TN)?

Over worked, under paid, unappreciated!
Human Resources Analyst in Nashville:
Pros: I enjoy the actual work I do and most of the people are really great to work with.
Cons: Some of the people are awful to work with, the pay is awful, my Director thinks we are all useless and refuses to give any of us a raise and I have worked for her for 8 years.

Leasing Agent, Real Estate in Nashville:
Pros: regular pay
Cons: zero input and zero opportunities for any advancement beyond the job you are hired for. No education, no professional advancement, no reimbursement for any professional memberships, certifications, classes, licensing, zip. Top down management that does not listen to workers. managers take all the credit, don't do any work, and give all the blame and the work to the grunts while they take all the perks
Director of Information Technology Services:
HR tries to make everyone fit into their one-size fits all mold. Otherwise, nice place and people to work with. Fair wage with average benefits and no bonuses. There was an 8 year period without any wage increase starting 2006 with decreases in benefits to hold costs flat.
