State Farm Insurance Company Reviews

What is it like working at State Farm Insurance Company?

Rewarding at times but stressful when not appreciated.
Account Manager, Insurance in Orlando:
Pros: always having something to learn
Cons: the freedom given to independent agents
Collections Specialist in Bloomington:
Pros: The variety of job choices. There is always room to learn new skills and develop yourself to be promoted and into roles, gaining new knowledge and experience. Eventually, you can find a job that you love!
Cons: The training processes.
Great Starting Experience But Not a Place to Build A Career.
Claims Adjuster in Phoenix:
Pros: I enjoyed a majority of the people and some of the technological processes being introduced for customers
Cons: There is a lack of accountability from management, a lot of office politics, lack of consistency in written messages and how management applies them and little to no growth for everyone as far as a career.
State Farm nice.
Software Developer in Bloomington:
Pros: Business partners generally give good developers the benefit of the doubt. Atmosphere is relaxed. There's fairly little drama. It's a great environment for really talented, hard-working developers to stand out.
Cons: It's tough to balance the super cheap rent in Bloomington with what a dump the town is. State Farm is THE major employer here, too, so if they ever leave then the real estate values will plummet, so it's too risky to buy a house here. Code quality is often not great, but I don't know how it compares to other places.
The job is ok. My boss is a narcicist.
Account Manager in Grapevine:
Pros: helping the customers
Cons: my boss and explaining monthly bills
Work hard enough in school so you can get a better job than this.
Software Developer in Mesa:
Pros: The casual dress culture
Cons: Everything else
Confusing. I think the company just wants you to figure it out.
Insurance Claims Handler in Garland:
Pros: Close to home
Cons: Like I said they want us to just figure it out
