Stage Stores, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Stage Stores, Inc.?

Retail Store Assistant Manager in Memphis:
For the most part I love my job at stage stores retail! The pay is much less than other retail store and you dont get the praise for the work you complete! I have been there for 3 years and I maintain the whole store from taking in freight to all the visual in every department and I've only received a total of .40 cent raise and that is with me always coming in keeping my goals in credit and mags met and going above and beyond in completing my job!
Retail Store Manager in Hopewell:
As a store manager there is too much thrown at us to be able to take care of in a timely manner. If you are a male manager your pay is pretty decent but being a female manager they pay you at the lowest end of the payscale. They want you to work 50+ hours and not give the store extra hours to hire people. With the amount of work they expect done and still only pay 7.50 an hour for associates we can never get anybody to apply. Things could be alot better if the company cared about their employees more.
Learning experience.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Smithfield:
Pros: I like how I’m able to come up with innovative solutions within the parameters of the company’s standards and policies
Cons: The pay could definitely be better for the amount of work I do and the hours spent there
Best insurance packet worst pay.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Dallas:
Health insurance, sick pay, vacation, 401k.
Highly stressful, unable to achieve expectations.
Retail Store Manager:
Pros: What I like most about my job is the satisfaction of being able to make people smile and helping customers. I am very proud of my management skills and my ability to create a true team atmosphere. Always being above sales plan and well above 100% of controllables.
Cons: Unable to achieve expectations due to budget hours cut. Salary is grossly below work load. Not being able to give the highest level of customer service because there are not enough hours allocated to my 44000 sq. Ft. Department store. Working 65 hours in 3 1/2 days with a total of 4 hours sleep and 2 of those hours were spent sleeping on my office floor because district manager was there keeping us working until 5 am and then I had to re open the store at 9 and did not have enough time to go home and get back in time. My D.M. Upset with me for taking a day off after working 70+ hours this past week.
