Sportsman's Warehouse Reviews
What is it like working at Sportsman's Warehouse?
Rewarding.
Demand Planner in Salt Lake City:
Pros: Working here gives you a sense of pride knowing you are providing customers with the gear they need to create lasting memories in the outdoors.
Stressful.
Inventory Control Specialist in Cincinnati:
Pros: I like that I can come in two hours before customers
Cons: Lack of communication and the expectation to just know what your doing
Learning on the Fly.
Regional Merchandising Manager in Las Vegas:
Pros: Ideal level of responsibility, did not need to relocate, enjoy my co-workers
Cons: Pay is sub-par, communication is inconsistent
Daily inventory shuffling, directing sales associates on tasks, managing profit goals, managing add-on goals.
Department Manager, Retail Store in Drain:
Pros: Like minded work force, being around items and products I love, and interacting with a wide variety of customers with similar interests but also unique experiences.
Cons: Internal drama, lack of culture and leadership, become friends with your boss or be ignored.
Under Paid.
Inventory Control Specialist in Kennewick:
Pros: No two days will ever be the same.
Cons: I feel like I am not paid fairly for the responsibilities I hold.
It is very stressful and very challenging. I have a specific day and time I have to meet every week.
Inventory Control Specialist in Rohnert Park:
Pros: I love all my coworkers and most of all I am very dedicated to sportsman's Warehouse. I believe I am the one and only employee that knows ehere, what , how things need to be done, where everything is and what we have in stock to a T. As well as what is the most priority, how to cover each department and especially 100% Customer service awareness
Cons: #1 is the revolving door PROMISES FROM THE MANAGER OF THE STORE SCOTT BATY, AND THE NEVER ENDING RESULTS FROM ANY OF HIS PROMISES. I HAVE WORKED FOR SPORTSMAN'S WAREHOUSE ROHNERT PARK, CA SINCE OPENING 2016 TILL PRESENTLY 2020(but I did leave to work for casino for $15 for 8months out of those 4years and came back cuz they had never filled my position yet while I quit). Plus I love my job title I know and they know that my position could be filled but I could never be replaced ever. I could do inventory control specialist 1 & 2 by myself weekly and still be completed and never be behind. Plus they've been owing me for a year and 3 months now additional .24¢ a hour and have not gotten yet
Merchandiser in Midvale:
The management in the ecommerce department is absolutely terrible. If you're looking for a boss who actually knows what their doing or what their employees do, I'd look elsewhere. However, the team I worked with was awesome. The buyers were great to work with and the atmosphere was great. If you have a chance to work in a different department, it would probably be a great job to have.
