Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Inc.?

Technical Support Specialist in Fullerton:
Different experiences for different regions but my experience was with Southern California. Terrible management on sales and technical support side but good management on service side. Tech support suffers from inexperienced management, with management ego getting in the way of any progress. No tech support scientists have been promoted the entire time current tech support manager has been in their position. Tech support manager also answers to sales regional manager who is largely uncommunicative. When direct communication with their employees does occur, it is often customer-facing (so employee can not stand up for themselves without compromising the image of the company) or extremely fleeting and unclear. Overall terrible for company morale and generally getting things done. If you’re ambitious and looking to start your career don’t work here but if you’re looking for a place where neither you nor management cares about your job, this is the place to be.
