Seattle Public Schools Reviews

What is it like working at Seattle Public Schools?

Elementary School Teacher:
Being a teacher is great because of the students. It can be very frustrating at times, as the decision makers don’t seem to have a grip on the pulse of its employee population. I do not believe the district backs up it’s mission of serving our diverse student population in a way that is meaningful and impactful.
Inconsistent.
Network Engineer in Seattle:
Pros: Opportunity to build network solutions that help education.
Cons: Poor middle managers with little in the way of human soft skills needed to manage teams.
Gardener in Seattle:
Pros: The work itself. With plants, on public land, employing skills specific to my training and experience.
Cons: Disbursement of funds disproportionately with respect to the interest of citizens and other district employees in completing my work thoroughly, safely and effectively. In a word, understaffing.
