Great team to work with.
Registered Nurse (RN), Operating Room in Austin:
Pros: I enjoy the people I work with and how my work enables others to potentially live longer, healthier lives
Cons: At times, there is a charge nurse that does not adequately communicate or over communicates about things that don't matter.
Great opportunity to learn.
Sr. Project Manager, Operations in Dallas:

Cons: Long hours
Technical Consultant in Temple:
Pros: Variety in where I work and what I’m doing from day to day. I can put my own schedule together
Cons: Lack of leadership
Conflicted; some days great, some days don't want to get out of car.
Charge Nurse (RN) in Temple:

Cons: Required to be on committees and attend meetings on days off.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Austin:
BSW Lakeway TX. Registered Nurse. It’s one of the weirdest hospital to work for. They have managers but no leaders. They say they want feedback and a team that is involved with quality healthcare.... But that’s not true. They do not want strong Employees. There are doctors who don’t like nurses and they are bullies. Managers say they will always back the nurses but they don’t. In fact, many of the managers are bullies and they aren’t held accountable for their actions. Run don’t walk away from this facility. Even the Swaddle team admits that BSW Lakeway has never integrated into the Baylor Scott and White philosophy. Very high turnover in nursing - close to 35%. Play by the rules and culture at Lakeway while you search for another hospital and city.
I love be able to help patients and make a difference to them.
Clinical Supervisor in Temple:
Pros: Help others, impact patient's life and promote employees
Cons: I have an MBA, my current position do not recognize that as it is not a requirement in the job description, however I always use and apply all the knowledge acquired to perform my daily task
Opportunities abound.
Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor in Temple:
Pros: Enjoy working in a teaching facility and learning something new everyday
Cons: Metrics driven without a real voice to the upper leadership that doesn't have a pulse on what is going on with current changes in nursing.
