Save-A-Lot, Ltd Reviews

What is it like working at Save-A-Lot, Ltd?

Slave-a-lot.
Grocery Store Manager in Columbus:
Pros: I enjoy managing a safe, clean, and friendly environment for my customers.
Cons: Management thinks it’s ok to play with people lives when they want to cut expenses. They cut labor hours well below the minimum required to affectively operate, causing the store manager to pick up the slack. It is not unheard of for me to work 96 hrs a week. On top of that, they hire all hourly associates in at minimum wage (Ohio $8.80 as of Jan 01, 2021) which is devastating in the middle of a pandemic., and highly not proportionate to the high stress environment of a small, low-staffed, grocery store.
Supermarket Department Manager, Meat in Des Moines:
The corporation is only about money they don't care about the quality of the product. It was an art making some of their product look good besides that. It was a job in which I received a weekly paycheck that's it no holiday pay no sick pay I do miss the people I worked with though.
