Challenging but Rewarding.

Pros: Working for the district gives me sense of purpose, that I'm helping students practice and hone their critical literacy skills. I feel that I am pushed and challenged in my job position, as well, which in a sense makes me feel dynamic as an individual. The time off is an obvious plus in terms of vacations and getting a break from it all. I f
Cons: Classroom behavior and management has challenged me since the beginning of my career. It is stressful to work so hard on a lesson to have it thwarted by middle school kids who love pushing the boundaries. Sometimes I wonder if this is level I'm supposed to teach because many kids are still so immature and developing. I also find that the amount I work outside of the school day is immense. I put hours upon hours into work nightly, and for nearly an entire day of my weekend.
