STMicroelectronics Reviews

What is it like working at STMicroelectronics?

Always a challenge.
Data Scientist in Valletta:
Pros: I like the truly international aspect of my company. There are endless opportunities to meet new people from all walks of life, literally, and also to expand your horizons.
Cons: The opaqueness when it comes to the salaries, the job grades, and the bonuses. In my branch, this system is the worst and no one knows how these are being really determined!
Business Systems Analyst in Phoenix:
The pay is decent, time off is average, the health insurance is great. In general it's a good company but the HR and work environment is terrible. I may have stayed if it weren't for my specific situation. I had a terrible experience with my manager and HR only looks out for the company and whoever has seniority. My manager would make inappropriate remarks (racist, homophobic, politically charged) but HR explained to me that because they weren't consistent, it "technically" wasn't illegal. You would expect companies to take these comments more seriously especially when they come from a manager. Overall, the work environment was so terrible with the micromanaging and blowing every mistake out of proportion that is was affecting my personal life as well. "Employees don't leave companies, they leave bad managers."
