Roehl Transport, Inc Reviews
What is it like working at Roehl Transport, Inc?
Rolling Hill.
Van Driver in Atlanta:
Pros: I like that I don’t Sit and wait for my next work. I like the efforts made to get me home on time. I like that I can accumulate extra time off. I like that every month I am given 60 shower credits at a major truckstop company so that at least with them I don’t have to worry about when I got fuel last and if I have to pay for a shower. I like that if I have a safety or medical situation that my employer is immediately proactive to coordinate And assist me so that I can resolve the situation. I do like that the company has a feature where other drivers can communicate personal experiences at customers which helps to inform the next person.
Cons: I don’t like that from one day to the next I have no idea where I’m going for my next assignment. Though I don’t wait Long for my next assignment such uncertainty prevents being able to efficiently manage my time pertaining to restock, laundry and It also prevents trying to coordinate with friends and family for meeting during my 10hr break. I don't like that I’m required to travel on the route that is calculated by computer. Though the route may be shorter, it’s not always faster, safer or have adequate locations With amenities for DOT breaks. I don’t like that my mileage pay is from city center to city center When there are required routes I must take and calculate to be typically, longer than the miles paid. I don’t like that the communicated times for the assignment are presented and projected to be set in stone when the reality is that there is a large window for the time and such information is not as transparent and Not accessible to me. I don’t like that pertinent information such as average load times are not available to me in advance without having to inquire as search vital information directly impacts the entire assignment from whether or not I can make the delivery on time, how far I can get down the road after delivery as well as the location in which my stop for a break will be.
Fair pay and benefits. Do not like new bonus structure.
Fleet Manager:
Pros: Time off needed is never a problem though I don't think I ask for much. Close to home. Good work associates and atmosphere.
Cons: The new bonus structure pays more for regional and local fleets but less for national. Also other departments like Safety and payroll dump a lot of their work on fleet managers.
