Ripple Junction Reviews
What is it like working at Ripple Junction?
Great work environment.
Graphic Designer in Cincinnati:
Pros: I love the people I work with on a day to day basis. I get to do what I love and work with really cool people. Not all departments are created equal, but the design department is a really cool place to work. We get to design for licensed apparel and have full creative rein.
Cons: Our pay is below average. It's a smaller company and they're growing rapidly so it feels like some of the people who have been working there longer are not getting brought up to the same level of pay as the new employees. This makes the loyal employees feel left behind and unappreciated. Also the sale department is hard to work with, especially as a designer. They are lazy and expect everyone else to do their job for them. We should be able to give the sales team the worst design ever and they should be able to sell it. However, we make really cool stuff and they still can't sell it. The sales department needs some work and an attitude adjustment.
Great work environment.
Graphic Designer in Cincinnati:
Pros: -The people are awesome
-Dogs in the office is a win
-laid back/casual work environment
-creative freedom (as a designer)
-Making cool art that sells at big retailers
Cons: -The pay is below average
-It is a small company so there are still processes and departments that need work...Everything is still a work in progress there, which is good and bad. Good because there are opportunities to grow, but bad because you get thrown in to the fire sometimes and there isn't a consistent form of training or communication.
-The "higher ups" pick favorites. During meetings they praise certain people, but gloss over others. Then they praise us as a company, but refuse to pay their employees well.
