Working at Progress Rail Services Corporation

I worked with a great and knowledgeable leader that initially trained me and continued to teach me as I developed professionally through my time at Progressrail. I worked as a contractor on customer property and worked closely with locomotive electricians, machinists, and sheet metal workers. The customer workers were great to work with and made the experience worth remembering. You will learn, if you have the aptitude to troubleshoot high voltage power generation systems and failed large diesel powered engines. Including the closed loop cooling system and electrical power generation issues. The only issues are initially being sent out to support customer operations with little knowledge. After gaining some experience the job becomes easier as most jobs do. A complaint I have is that the company performed well during the pandemic and refused to issue bonuses. The team performed well and those of us that worked in close proximity to other employees did not receive any incentive to continue to work at high expectation.
