Prime Healthcare Reviews

What is it like working at Prime Healthcare?

Its a job that provides financial security for now.
Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Room in San Diego:
Pros: Ability to control my schedule
Cons: The staffing shortage
I try to make the most of my experience as a pharmacy technician at Prime.
Pharmacy Technician in Riverdale:
Pros: I like the hours in which I work. I have a good schedule.
Cons: Each year, some facet of our pay is taken away in one way or another.
Healthcare at its best with love!
Registered Nurse (RN) in Denville:
Pros: My role in PACU as a nurse
Cons: The overall commute and gas expense
Excellent work environment.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Morristown:
Pros: Patient care is the priority as well as staff work satisfaction
Cons: The pay is significantly lower than other area facilities and not competitive.
Chaos at First, but gets better.
Medical Records / Health Information Technician in Ontario:
Pros: Flexibility and independent work (while still reaching out to others and working as a team).
Cons: The negative attitude a lot of coworkers have towards their jobs/the company. Also, the lack of proper training from upper management, which could be associated with the first sentence.
Love my job hate the company.
Insurance Verifier in Port Huron:
Pros: I love the difference I am able to make in the lives of the people I work with. To be able to help a patient who is uninsured and/or financially struggling; obtain insurance or to alleviate a looming medical financial burden is extremely rewarding.
Cons: There is little transparency in anything the company does. There is a lot of nepotism going on, and continues to serve as a huge injustice and the placing of people in roles they are unqualified for and not effectively able to serve in. The company has no regard for the loyalty or tenor of its employees, I have personally watched management walk employees out the door for advocating for a specificity in patient care, instead of just keeping their head down and doing only as they were instructed. The family atmosphere and camaraderie that used to exist at our facility prior to our acquisition to Prime is now non-existent.
