Pros: The environment and personalities of everyone is unlike any other work environment. Plus everyone is very knowledgeable so it's easier to receieve/give help if needed.
Cons: Finding it tough to modernize the department. The managers aren't helping enforce things and it explains alot about the current working status of the department. Freedom to do your own work, but too much freedom can produce laziness and comfortability. Many are not staying up to date with modern standards.
Learning Experience.
Software Engineer in Farmingdale:
Pros: It uses the IBM i which most engineers will never deal with. It enjoy learning this technology and becoming better acquainted with it.
Cons: It can take some time to get answers from management during the busy time of the year
