Otterbein Retirement Community Reviews

What is it like working at Otterbein Retirement Community?

Rewarding Job.
Executive Sous Chef in Toledo:
Pros: Working with the Elders and making a difference.
Cons: It can be stressful. But, any job can be.
Stressful, impossible workload.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Wapakoneta:
Pros: The people
Cons: Hypocrisy of the health care system
Feels like home.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Northwood:
Pros: I’ve worked there years ago and it feels like home seeing many of the same faces as I worked with before. It’s made it easier for me to transition into working there again very easy.
Cons: The elders here have less behaviors than any place I have worked due to them having planned activities, a warm and open environment with plenty of opportunity to interact with other residents and their own families. It’s a very close warm community.
Do not recommed.
State Tested Nurses Aide (STNA) in Ripley:
Pros: The residents
Cons: Management/ pay
A big work load for little pay.
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA):
Cons: We cook, clean, laundry, activities all on top of providing patient care with only two aides. Its a big work load for very little pay. Very stingy management and saving loads of money off of their employees.
