New Hanover Regional Medical Center Reviews

What is it like working at New Hanover Regional Medical Center?

NHRMC Novant.
Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care in Wilmington:
Pros: Tight knit unit and a great manager. Work a weekend only option so lots of flexibility.
Cons: Hemorrhaging staff while bringing in travelers making 4 times what a staff nurse makes. Culture seems different since Novant took over.
Hospital Chaplain:
I love NHRMC for so many reasons. The staff, the mission, the commitment to the community. The one problem- the pay. My pay is significantly lower than others in my profession at other hospitals. As a chaplain I am required to have a Masters Degree 2+ years of clinical pastoral education and experience. Pay is not equal to the education and skills.
Great place to work. Lots of benefits and perks.
Director, Supply Chain Management in Wilmington:
Pros: creativity and opportunity to innovate almost routinely.
Cons: Bureaucracy in getting some things accomplished.
Emergency Department Technician in Wilmington:
Pros: the benefits/overtime
Cons: lack of communication/growning within the hospital is difficult, people get written up for petty stuff
