Nelnet, Incorporated Reviews

What is it like working at Nelnet, Incorporated?

Great Work-Life Balance.
Accountant in Lincoln:
Pros: They trust employees to do a job and focus on getting the best people and putting them in roles that best suit their skills.
Cons: It’s a large, mature company with a lot of smart people. Impacts on the company happen over extended periods of time. It’s rare for a new hire to revolutionize a functional area because the leadership is so strong. Not necessarily a con, but can be frustrating if you’re used to making large improvements.
Leadership.
Call Center Team Lead in Omaha:
Pros: The day to day interactions between myself and my associates.
Cons: Being dedicated to Help Desk rather than having a face to face interaction with my direct employees.
Good place to work.
Test / Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer (Computer Software) in Lincoln:
Pros: The benefits, people, and overall integrity of the products offered.
Cons: The feeling that sometimes there’s a lack of caring of various departments. Who are forgotten until times get really bad.
Ground-breaking.
Senior User Experience Designer in Saint Pauls:
Pros: Get to be familiar with so many kinds of applications
Cons: Don't feel like I know what's going on in the company higher up.
Great Benefits, Silly Pay Discrepancies.
Business Analyst, IT in Lincoln:
Pros: Great benefits make it tough to leave here.
Cons: Pay Discrepancies make an otherwise enjoyable work place tough to stay with. Two people in the same position, doing the same job, with the same experience and background should not have a 10k pay difference.
Time to move on.
Administrative Services Manager in Chicago:
Pros: Manage my own desk
Cons: No chance to be heard
