Neighborhood House, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Neighborhood House, Inc.?

Early Childhood Educator (ECE) in Milwaukee:
I was employed at the Neighborhood House of Milwaukee for five years. The work experience was pleasant, and a pretty positive work atmosphere. At times as a teacher the job was stressful, and demanding Most of the time of my employment they were short-staffed but the Early Childhood staff made sacrifices and made it work. There were times as a teacher we did not feel supported, especially when children demonstrated negative behaviors, I as teacher talked with Supervisor and Executive Director on several occasions about getting the parents involved and holding them accountable with helping teachers with guiding negative and disruptive behaviors. Other that the support from the partner site at times this left me as a teacher very stressed out. I met and enjoyed working with the parents and some staff, but at the end of the day the teachers are not supported or backed like the parents. In my opinion both should be equally important. After being employed there for five years unfortunately, my time at the Neighborhood House was up. As I continue my journey as an educator, I would not recommend anyone to work there or enroll their child.
