National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Reviews

What is it like working at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)?

Feel very underappreciated and overlooked.
Patent Attorney in Hampton:
Pros: I work a lot of different types of IP/technology related issues, including patent prosecution, copyright/trademark, patent licensing and other agreements, etc.
Cons: Feel like I am overlooked, I know I do an excellent job but I find that others in my office are selected for recognition, awards, and promotions over me. There really isn't any career development, it is very "do your job" and that's it. I worry that I am being overlooked for promotion opportunities, etc.
Mechanical Engineer in Hampton:
I have a chance to use my skills on some great NASA programs. The work environment and the leadership is wonderful providing technical guidance and respecting us a people. Compensation is good. The location suits my personal needs. Telecommuting is available.
Saving the world, one vuegraph at a time.
Senior Research Scientist (Unspecified Type) in Hampton:
Pros: interesting work
Cons: Bureaucracy
