Museum of Science and Industry Reviews

What is it like working at Museum of Science and Industry?

Program Coordinator, Non-Profit Organization in Chicago:
Pros: The positive effects we have on the people who come to learn.
Cons: Working for a non-profit means if the company does poorly, everything is affected the following year. May pay has been cut three separate times while working at the museum for 8 years.
Program Manager, Marketing in Chicago:
Pros: I love the comrade and collaboration our team has to fulfill the mission of the museum
Cons: That I’m not fairly compensated for the knowledge and expertise I bring everyday
Education Facilitator:
The hours are horrible. You never get a living wage. The leadership and upper management tries their best but the place is toxic. Working with the public is awful and security could care less about helping you. No upward movement either. The place is destitute.
