Morrison Healthcare Reviews
What is it like working at Morrison Healthcare?
Its very good helping other people when they need it.
Porter in Houston:
Pros: get to help the patients with a smile
Cons: they have no paid holidays at all
I am expected to work several hours overtime for a low rate.
Clinical Dietitian in McKinney:
Pros: The interaction I have with the doctors, nurses and patients
Cons: That I don’t have any help when admissions are high and that I’m expected to work in the kitchen when we’re short staffed
Horrible.
Director Food and Nutrition Services in Manassas:
Pros: Building my staff and interacting with patients
Cons: No leadership from above. Employees tend to be forgotten on a corporate level.
Excellent except current manager.
Support Services Coordinator in Charlotte:
Pros: Customer Service
Cons: Manager
To be a successful one must have purpose, passion, performance, and energy. These concepts are important and have transferable value. I am passionate and bring purpose, passion, performance, and energy to our industry every day.
Director Food and Nutrition Services in Los Angeles:
Pros: flexabilty to move
Cons: labor market front line staff hiring
Stressful.
Food Service Supervisor in Buffalo:
Pros: The communication I have with the employees under me.
Cons: Upper Management
Dietitian:
Cons: Morrison does not value its registered dietitians. Its sole purpose is to achieve good scores, which it ironically attempts to achieve not by providing good customer service or high quality food, but by bribing patients to forget how terrible their overall experience has been with cheap apologies like cookies and coffee carts. They believe that the RDs should drop their clinical duties to assist with tasks like taking orders and delivering trays on a regular basis. Although there are RDs in upper management, they too become obsessed with scores and forget that behind every survey is a patient with a real medical problem. They offer no defined raises for achieving an advanced degree, and there is little or no opportunity for growth short of becoming a manager and losing patient contact. In keeping with not valuing its RDs, Morrison also does not fulfill the medical nutrition therapies prescribed by doctors or RDs.
