Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist:
"Good people near the bottom but rotten at the top" Doesn't Recommend. Neutral Outlook. Disapproves of CEO. I worked at Mohegan Sun full-time (More than 3 years) Pros. Depending on department you can work with some really nice people. Depending on department you may not have to work holidays. Point system can be helpful if you get sick for an extended period but also double edged sword. Hours were good in my department; decent opportunity for OT. Annual performance based raises. Cons. Depending on what department your in or if you have to deal with another department you may have to deal with some very nasty, disrespectful and vindictive people; seems to be majorly a frequent issue with entitled supervisors or tribal member employees who disregard the rules and get off scot free because they are tribal members as well as employees, very much a wide dual standard between tribal members, management/supervisors, and regular employees. Some staff (supervisors/managers included) will lie and try to get you written up or fired for reporting them when you find them to have or see them break company policies. Some supervisors and managers will defend you if they know the complaint is bogus, others won't. Frequently hear that federal laws and osha don't apply to them because they are a tribal casino on tribal land despite federal law and supreme court rulings saying otherwise; this is parroted by multiple departments and almost all members of management company wide as this is wha
