Liberty Tax Services, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Liberty Tax Services, Inc.?

Lots of work hours and responsibilities for very little pay.
Office Manager in Tulsa:
Pros: My return Clients
Cons: The pay and the long work hours
Awesome boss and coworkers.
Tax Preparer in Lexington:
Pros: Helping clients with their taxes and any questions or concerns they have.
Cons: Working only at tax time
Office Supervisor in Lancaster:
My boss and coworkers were great even though the pay wasn't. There were nice customers as well as not so-nice customers. Bonus was superb once you maintained at least 85% of the clients. The fees for simple returns were too high! But people still loved our services.
The work is hard, the hours are long but at times it can be very rewarding.
Office Supervisor in Savannah:
Pros: Helping people who have no idea what they are doing and are afraid that they will be making a mistake and then getting them back more money than they had thought possible.
Cons: Customers who get angry and complain about the cost of filing and the size of their refund.
Tax Preparer:
Pros: The job itself of doing taxes and meeting new people. Learning new things is high on my priorities of what I want in life. I get to do that on a daily basis doing taxes. They are very flexible in their scheduling since most of us are just seasonal employees.
Cons: The communication could be a little better among the people in the office. There are new preparers every year and there is much miscommunication when each new person deals with a new supervisor/manager. There is a ton of pressure when we hit our peak tax preparing time in February. Sometimes you wonder if you can make it through.
Great experience.
Tax Preparer:
Pros: Able to handle money figures, and people of all kinds. I enjoy the team even to the owners I enjoy numbers and to see how they work together with people. I love helping people to.
Cons: There is no bad people and numbers are always good.
Stressful But Rewarding.
Tax Preparer:
Pros: Helping others, teaching, the thank you cards from my clients.
Cons: Too may work hours during busy season with little break or time to recoup. Unreliability of staff.
