Pros: Freedom to plan the curriculum to suit the needs of the students.
Cons: The waste of time spent in meetings that don't affect my students. The lack of support to work with other teachers on ideas that can benefit the student. There is lots of wasted time with politics that cater to standardized tests that can be better allocated to help meet the needs of the student (i.e. lesson planning, time to plan field trips, team plan a unit)
