Kiehls Reviews

What is it like working at Kiehls?

Worked like a dog, paid less than hourly wage employees.
Assistant Store Manager in Edmonton:
Pros: the skin care and my direct employees, i manage a wonderful team and i plan to set them up for success while being 100% transparent on my situation with the company.
Cons: the stress, work load, the distrust from area managers, the gaslighting, the lying, there is so much wrong and i am so exhausted beyond words that i have given up trying to work my way up and i have put up a wall and am trying to find a way out no matter how much they push me into a corner to get me to stay. i do my work, as i am an amazing employee everything exceeds standard but i am constantly belittled and told 100% no for the wage i asked for and deserve and told that i will probably never make it to head office ever. a lot of people take credit for my work and sometimes i have to keep quiet the work i actually do to keep my store working because others would get in trouble, obviously these things are secret so i do not get credit for the actual amount of work i do. there is no over time pay so if i need to keep the store going and have to stay late i do not get paid for that. the excuse for everything is “that’s being a manager” and “that’s retail” even with the lack of support and value for human health and lives i believe these should never be excuses.
