Kayak Software Reviews

What is it like working at Kayak Software?

Challenging at times but sometime gets boring.
Software Engineer in Boston:
Pros: Work Life Balance and the people at KAYAK
Cons: Work gets monotonous at some point and you feel less challenged.
Data Scientist in Cambridge:
Work is interesting and my manager strikes a good balance between helping out and giving us autonomy. Benefits are great; I get to take my dog into work and the snacks are good as well. Culture is okay, although I feel like there are some areas for improvement.
Job titles are not standardized here, IT Support Engineer = Help Desk 1-2 + Project Management + Server Admin.
Senior Technical Support Engineer in Stamford:
Pros: We are empowered to create, build and grow ourselves at a strong pace so we're always learning new platforms and systems. No doors are automatically shut, and everyone is open to hearing fresh ideas. Company culture is quick solid decision making, and then execution and on to the next thing. Folks are friendly and reasonable, never been yelled at.
Cons: This is the best job I've ever had. If I needed to pick something it would be the convoluted process to get your salary in line with your performance. It takes persistence, and a lot of data to resist being lumped in with average performers, and to demonstrate your work ethic and results of your labor.
