Jet Propulsion Laboratory Reviews

What is it like working at Jet Propulsion Laboratory?

Exploring Mars at the Expense of a Competitive Salary.
System Integration Engineer in Los Angeles:
Pros: The tech and frontiers being expanded is incredible, and the people we work with is fantastic. Our tools and visualizations are constantly out of this world quite literally, and we are paving the path for future further exploration of Mars.
Cons: Our pay is absolutely terrible in comparison with comparable work in other organizations. The promotion process is entirely invisible to most folks, and pay adjustments are also rare.
JPL is not what you think. Think twice about working here.
Cyber Security Engineer in Los Angeles:
Pros: The good people I have met and learned about the amazing work they do for space.
Cons: Poor management from my lead of the department to the managers above.
Great Institution, Great People, Great Opportunities.
Mechanical Engineer in Pasadena:
Pros: Surrounded by experts, access to excellent engineering tools/software.
Cons: Difficult to advance quickly career-wise compared to my counterparts in private industry.
