Jackson National Life Insurance Co. Reviews
What is it like working at Jackson National Life Insurance Co.?
Working as a Claims Processor as JNL is like being a general processor- review and process documents. At time there are more challenging cases, but often the work is repetitive. There are many details and changes that require constant attention.
Claims Processor in Lansing:
Pros: What I like most about my job is the challenging cases that require research and additional detail/knowledge in addition to the standard processing. These cases highlight my knowledge, analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service, and communication skills.
Cons: What I like least about my job is the lack of ability to promote within, which is largely unexplained. I have been both precisely, and over-qualified for positions that I will not even get an interview for. My quality of work is proven and does not align with this inability for upward mobility.
Some good, some bad...depends what you want.
Senior Software Engineer in Lansing:
Pros: Good WLB most of the time. Lots of the managers are very chill with their developers and stand up for them when things get chaotic.
Cons: They seem unable to make the correct decisions about systems and frameworks to use, constantly prioritizing the wrong problems. Too many overhead positions that don't really contribute, and the people that do contribute are often stuck with an inferior process but not really empowered to improve it.
Stressful environment.
Collections Specialist in Howell:
Pros: working from home
Cons: moved from dept to dept and forced to do jobs not applied for
