HomeGoods Reviews

What is it like working at HomeGoods?

Tetris Anyone?
Assistant Store Manager in Phoenix:
Pros: No two days are alike. I enjoy the challenge of finding solutions to accommodate the large amounts of freight. We receive new merchandise 3 times a week and the challenge is to get it to the sales floor in 24 hours. Inventory turn over is fast. I also enjoy the freedom we are given to make merchandising decisions based on what is best for our store and what we own.
Cons: Sales Associates are not paid enough, so there is high turnover. Pushing credit card sales. Too many company initiatives. Difficult to implement and maintain because of the need to hire and train new associates. Unrealistic expectations for training. Expected to run the business and train managers and new associates at the same time.
Terrible environment in the store.
Cashier in Millville:
Pros: I like all of my coworkers
Cons: I am not given accommodations for my disabilities, I am not given enough hours to make up for the shoddy pay (every other job in my area pays more), the store manager (not my direct manager) is completely unhinged at all times and scares almost all of my coworkers including me. Simply awful for this particular store.
No Training yet Expected to do Everything.
Retail Associate in Port St. Lucie:
Pros: Something different every day
Cons: Work harder than most employees & taken advantage of.
Retail Sales Associate in Merrick:

Assistant Store Manager in Napa:
Pros: Its challenging and rewarding. Fun at times.
Cons: They pay ASM coming from another Co. A whole lot more than they do someone they promote with in
Homegoods doesnt care about its employees.
Sales Associate in St. Paul:
Pros: I like getting too know the customers that's all. Everything else is horrible.
Cons: Managment only cares about opening TJX Cards they treat there employees like crap. I'm the only full time cashier and I cant request time off or use my vacation time with out being harrassed and made to feel disrespected. I hate it here.
