HSHS Reviews
What is it like working at HSHS?
I love my coworkers.
Front Office Coordinator in Effingham:
Pros: I love helping people and if I can cheer anyone up I will try
Cons: Insurance authorizations
Information Technology Specialist in Green Bay:
I wish there was a direction or career path. The management seems to fly by the seat of their pants. They make impossible goals, which can’t be reached due to lack of manpower or time to try to achieve them. Departments are disabled if 1 or 2 people take PTO. Hard to be motivated when the amount of responsibility forced upon department, without any additional compensation. Large projects are scheduled during summer hours, which force them to deny vacations during that time. They expect you to “live to work”! Because your time is not important. They preach well being, volunteerism and family life, but don’t respect your time you need for it. Creativity, team spirit, encouragement, self-betterment or motivation to do better, are all just words without action or meaning here. This is one of those companies that used to care for its employees, now they could care less if you stay or go. I’ve heard management say to employees “No one is forcing you to stay here to work” which is cold and uncaring.
Daily discovery, the blind leading the blind.
Information Technology Specialist in Green Bay:
Pros: Casual clothing and leave at 3pm
Cons: Many or most employees do not have a base understanding of the technical tools they must use a on a daily basis. If feel if you have a heart beat - You are hired! I shouldnt have to instruct people how to turn on a pc, or even what their own title is. I think this place, people are here to collect a paycheck, resetting passwords and being yelled at, and belittled all day just isnt my cup of tea. The SILO style of management here, does not encourage any type of team work.
