Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician:
Pros:
This is a good company to get your foot in the door in the IT industry. The company will reimburse you for any IT certification exams you pass. Easy to move up.
Cons:
Mediocre pay, lower and middle management is terrible. The managers lack leadership skills and regularly threaten their teams with group write ups for not being able to keep up with the work load. This isn't just my team that is threatened, it's all teams. The tools you use daily are a patchwork of terribly made custom software. The ticketing system is absolute garbage, and a complete headache to work with.
