Human Resources (HR) Business Partner in Portland:
Pros: The people who struggled to make sense of things along side of me.
Cons: The lack of transparency, leadership skills, organizational togetherness, lack of innovation or the willingness to listen to someone other than one of the "Good ole boys". You are not respected for the value you bring. You're used for the value you bring, and when you bring extreme value in an area that doesn't deserve it, they'll keep you there because no one else wants to be in that job. Want to transfer out? You have to be part of that club and play the political game to do that.
