Pros: My patients. Advocacy. The job itself.
Cons: Management. The lack of support . The Pay. We need more women in charge. We need more women who have empathy for single parents. we need more support in the hospitals that we work for. More advocacy for the advocates that have to be onsite, during covid we had to be in the front lines, all while dealing with racism, adversity, and lack of support from the company we worked for and the hospital we were contracted with, I lacked support from my own team personally. It was hard. Community is important and I didn’t have that .
