Federal Reserve Bank Reviews

What is it like working at Federal Reserve Bank?

Highly collaborative culture.
Application Architect in Cleveland:
Pros: For the functional aspects of my job, we are highly democratic and I feel empowered to participate in decisions.
Cons: As is common in banking, there are a lot of security hoops to jump through, which can be annoying during development activities.
Procurement Manager in Dallas:
Overall a good organization with a just mission - sometimes falls short of following own rules and values. Lots of long tenured personnel who feel entitled just as much as millenials. Hear lots of talk about change, culture change, yet things happen too slow at the Fed. Fear we will lose lots more very good talent before we see any real change to even seem to occur.
Great Working Conditions, Little Advancement Potential.
Financial Analyst in Washington:
Pros: Hours are flexible, pay is fair to generous, culture is collaborative.
Cons: The culture is PhD centric and job families without this qualification can be looked down upon, not taken seriously, and have difficulty finding a path to advance meaningfully.
