F5 Networks, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at F5 Networks, Inc.?

Company is in transition and they haven't reached agreement on what that should look like.
Vice President (VP), Engineering in Seattle:
Pros: The people. Largely F5 fosters a collaborative culture and the people here all want to do the right thing. I have many extremely supportive colleagues
Cons: Lack of clear decision making capabilities Inconsistency of how we apply the values and cultural norms No consistency or accountability to exectutive decisions and priorities. No clarity on priorities.
Marketing department lacks direction and is too short term focused.
Senior Marketing Manager in Bellevue:
Pros: Ability to work from home
Cons: Lack of genuine collaboration. Lots of territoriality limits people's ability to contribute and stifles the business.
Working at f5 has opened alot of doors to work with different departments.
Office Manager in Riyadh:
Pros: flexibility at work providing courses to develop skills being able to communicate easily with everyone job benefits and job role
Cons: my contract is not with f5 it is with 3 party contract which i dislike
Only come here if you don't care about Diversity and Inclusion.
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Santa Clara:
Pros: The fact that after 30 years of grinding, I still have not been invited to the table, and since I came from an acquisition no one had honestly evaluated what I bring to the table.
Cons: There is a big push from the top down to create a diverse and inclusive culture, but they are not willing to look under the rug at the Good Old Boy network that still dominates F5. I see two Black people in Management CEO, and VP of Customer Success and Business Transformation. No others in the organization I work under.
A good company to work for that struggles with cross-organizational alignment.
Technical Writer in San Jose:
Pros: The company does seem to really care about employee satisfaction, and provides great benefits. Many of the people I work with are smart, competent, and fun to be around. Especially during COVID, they have put employee safety first and have supported our transition to working from home.
Cons: The poor communication between teams and departments has been frustrating. There seems to be very little desire for cross-collaboration among departments, and different teams often complete parallel processes, leading to conflicting outputs and inconsistencies.

Senior Product Marketing Manager in Seattle:
Pros: Want to work for a company that cares about you, about the community and wants to see you succeed?
Cons: It can be stressful when there are things that we're launching and passionate about, but don't let that put you off. Culture is important and F5 has a wonderful culture for work and play.
Delightful.
Software Engineer in Seattle:
Pros: Job security and work-life balance
Cons: Not paid as well as other Software Engineers at other companies.
