Embassy Suites Hotels Reviews
What is it like working at Embassy Suites Hotels?
Low Pay for High Expectations.
Sales Coordinator in Franklin:
Pros: Hotel discounts, interactions with coworkers and people of other departments. Good rapport with 80% of clients.
Cons: Pay is terrible. I'm at barely 30k/year gross and I have the responsibility of an office manager, auditor, receptionist, and personal assistant. Chain retailers whose associates have much less responsibility than me make anywhere from $2-$5 more than me per hour. There's no opportunities for me to develop my particular skills at my location and I've asked frequently.
I do my job with 90-95% accuracy and have even caught several of their mistakes. I take initiative and leadership roles. I have tons of ideas to make my location bring in more revenue but no one seems interested. There's nothing for me to do half the time but if I ask for more work or am researching customer service strategies when there is none of "my actual work" to be done, I get told I'm not doing my job right.
Time consuming and stressful.
Housekeeper in Memphis:
Pros: My coworkers are great
Cons: Pay raises and have to be asked for instead of automatic
Good I like using my past experience and using my skills to the fullest.
Maintenance Technician in Niagara Falls:
Pros: I like trying to trouble shoot and solve plumbing and electrical problems. I epecially like it when the guest gives me praise for the work or problem they were having with a device or appliance in their room.
Cons: cleaning, and the pay
It's very fulfilling when I know I've made someone's day a little nicer.
Hotel Housekeeping Aide/Attendant/Assistant in Salt Lake City:
Pros: Its a challenge.
Cons: Too many responsibilties
It’s Amazing.
Group Sales Manager in Overland Park:
Pros: Helping our clients, guests and helping other co workers is extremely important to me.
Cons: Turning down business, because we don’t have enough meeting space
Interesting guests stay at Embassy Suites.
Front Desk Agent in Kansas City:
Pros: Talking to the guests, managers provide a good working environment. Each shift is different from the last one.
Cons: It is a far commute. More consistent money.
