Dorn Va Medical Center Reviews

What is it like working at Dorn Va Medical Center?

It has its ups and downs. As a floor RN, you wear multiple hats. You also could possibly receive verbal warnings if your CNA doesn’t do his/her job.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Columbia:
Pros: Honestly, I can say I’ve met/worked with some wonderful people. I believe that’s why I’ve stayed as long as I have. I also enjoy my medical/dental benefits and retirement benefits.
Cons: What I like least is the fact that management makes decisions regarding floor staff without receiving our inputs. Management doesn’t know what we really deal with while working on the floor. As a floor RN, it’s expected of me to work multiple hats. There’s no accountability for the CNAs, the nurse could receive verbal/written warnings if the CNA doesn’t do his/her job. Management isn’t completely honest during the interview process.
Undue stress.
MRI Technologist in Lexington:
Pros: Patients and most coworkers
Cons: Pay and micromanaging. Department tainted by Cheif of Radiology ‘bad mouthing’ Techs And not having a clue what’s really going on. ‘Checking all the boxes to be complimented’
