Centene Corporation Reviews

What is it like working at Centene Corporation?

Team Leader, IT in Buffalo:
Some good people work here. But there are a lot of clueless people as well who add no value. They are horrible at managing software projects and staff. Healthcare is the worst I ever had as far as benefits goes. Pay is ok, but not exactly competitive within my local area.
Engaging and always challenging to become better.
Business Analyst, IT in Rocky Mount:
Pros: Stability and progressive culture
Cons: Lack of growth opportunity in the IT department
I won the direct, and skip level management lotteries. Not all teams are as lucky.
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in St. Louis:
Pros: The ability to recognize a need, develop a solution alongside teammates, and build out a vision.
Cons: The Directorship I belong to, is somewhat an Oasis of forward thinking and innovation. Outside, it's not uncommon to run into backwards logic that is self-centered, and fears change.
Upper leadership is disfunctional, everything else is great.
Senior Software Engineer in St. Louis:
Pros: The People I work with are amazing, culture of my group is good, technology is exciting, learning is encouraged
Cons: Upper leadership is disfunctional. Crazy requirements with crazy deadlines can sometimes come out of nowhere from leadership. Also, people in my group seem under titled and under compensated.
Enjoy Care Management.
Director of Case Management in Omaha:
Pros: Making a difference
Cons: Pay doesn’t seem equal
It's pretty nice.
Medical Claims Analyst in Phoenix:
Pros: It's fairly flexible
Cons: Dress code Tuesday through Thursday
Challenging.
Operations Manager in Woodland Hills:
Pros: Autonomy
Cons: Exhausting
